The Kingman Klan was at Citi Field for Opening Day. And what a day we had. The Mets took apart the woeful San Diego Padres 11-2. Among the highlights:

* Collin Cowgill made his Met debut memorable with a grand slam in the 7th

* John Buck earned fan respect calling a great game and going 2-3 with a walk. Most impressive, Buck chugged 1st to home on a Tejada triple in the second.

* Jon Niese pitched like an Ace, going 6.2 innings and even cranking out two hits...

...which is two more than Ike Davis hit. In fact, Ike went 0-5 with FOUR strikeouts. Lets hope that's just a case of 24-hour cactus fever.
