— Days Without Shea —

My ten-year-old son has become a huge Beatles fan. This started just after Paul McCartney played Citi Field...a real shame as we could have seen that gig together.

But tonight we will share in Sir Paul. Unfortunately, it will have to happen at Yankee Stadium, where for the first time, McCartney will play a gig.

I am not too excited about the locale but excited for the gig. So does anyone in Loge13 know how to get to Yankee Stadium? We plan to get up there pretty early to beat the traffic. Any good places to eat around or in the stadium that won't rip us off?

Meanwhile, a cranky NY Times critic opines on the significance of a Beatle at Yankee Stadium. Calm down, Mr. Kozinn. Shea Stadium was the undisputed champion of stadium rock & roll. On that front, the Mets have more world championships.
