— Days Without Shea —

OK so the 2011 version of the New York Mets is not going to impress every day. We are now under .500 after losing to the pesky Nats on Shea Field Opening Day.

It was still a great day at the ball park with Kingman Sr, Ron Hunt and Ali Strawberry and much of the Bayside Greek chorus from Loge 13 in attendance. If you couldn't make the game, here is what it felt like to hear the opening day lineup from section 307:

Looked cold and empty. Must have been a late arriving crowd. Gad I stayed home to watch it. Here too, the Mets looked cold and empty. Thanks to the change from the "ONLY" Saturday Plan a few years back, I'd won't have to freeze tonight.
