Forbes has put out its MLB franchise value list, and the Wilpon-owned Mets are not faring too well:

Burdened by debt on their new Citi Field, stung by a sharp drop in attendance in 2010 and with the looming specter of owner Fred Wilpon's penalties for his connection to the Bernie Madoff Ponzi scheme, Forbes estimates the Mets' value at $747 million, down 13% from 2010.

Only the Padres and Indians are on the list of "losing value" clubs. However, San Diego is actually the most profitable baseball team, with a $37 million payroll. And Cleveland? Well, they're still in Cleveland.

So there's another thing to be proud of Met fans!
