The Mets sent out their
2011 Kids Club pitch. We enjoyed the club back in Shea Stadium, especially as it included two tickets and a chance to walk on the field.
In 2009, the Mets removed the ticket option entirely when they moved to Citi Field.
Last year, they improved the plan somewhat.
So what does the plan get you this year? "A voucher for two tickets*"
There's that darned asterik again. If you scroll down the page, you will discover the "voucher" gets you:
"Two tickets for the 2011 regular season only, Monday - Thursday home
games. Some blackout dates may apply."
So no weekend games. Just weeknights, when kids usually have camp trips and other obligations.
I did a quick scan. There are nine day games that fall on a Monday - Thursday: One in April, July and August; two in May, June and September. I bet those will be blocked out.
