The voice of Yankee, Stadium Bob Sheppard, died today at age 99.

We do plenty of Yankee bashing in Loge13 but Bob Sheppard was a class act. Besides announcing at Yankee games for over 50 years, he also was the voice of the Giants and served several years in Shea Stadium during the Yankee Stadium reconstruction years of the 1970's.

Here is Bob Sheppard announcing the last lineup ever in old Yankee Stadium. Ex-Met Xavier Nady was in the lineup that day. You don't need to watch the video, just listen:
