Yes it is true I have not been posting much. I had knee surgery but neglected to tell the Mets. Oh wait I did tell the Mets. Oops screwed that up.

That's not the point. The twelve of us Loge13 castaways have still not renewed our seats. We're waiting to get a call back from the Mets. Hey Mets - here's your chance to secure 12 plan holders. We are waiting to give you money.

Meanwhile, check out what you get when you get a PARTIAL plan with the Orioles:

With the Orange Carpet Program and its special, exclusive benefits offered to all Full and Partial Season Plan Holders, being an Orioles Season Plan Holder has its privileges:

  • All '10 Full and Partial Season Plan Holders will receive an exclusive Brooks Robinson figurine, complete with 14 karat gold coating on Brooks' glove.
  • Enjoy significant savings on all prime seat locations.
  • Never pay per ticket fees.
  • Get up close for batting practice.
  • Be guaranteed access to Opening Day tickets!
Not bad...I've never been close to batting practice at Citi Field.

Yeah, but have you seen the Orioles hit? Peter Angelos should arrange to have Jim Palmer (or Brady Anderson) sit in your lap if you buy tickets under any plan they offer. Its the best stadium on the east coast to see a game - unfortanately, there's not much game going on there. Moreover, there are plenty of seats - I went once last year and there were more employees than fans at the game.

I have bought tickets from Orioles season ticket holders (once for the Mets, once so I could see Zack Greinke pitch up close) and I will tell you that the early access to BP is outstanding. For the first hour, only season ticket holders - full or partial plan - get access to the lower bowl - everyone else has to watch from the outfield. They also sell $1 hot dogs and $1 soda during that hour. It's like having private BP.

At least the Mets discriminate against everyone for BP.

No call from the Mets, but I did receive a package from them in the mail yesterday...It was a framed photo of the Inaugural Opening Day At Citi Field along with a note thanking me for my support in 2009. It went on to say: "On behalf of everyone at the Mets, best wishes for a happy holiday season and new year". You guys tell me...Is it the Post Office or the Mets Office that don't have a clue????

It still amazes me that you would pay 1/3 to 1/2 the cost to sit in close field box seats for the NL Champion Philles. What are the Mets brass thinking. I will not renew until prices are cut in half. Before Mets fans renew, check out the prices for other similar teams...it will make you sick. The Mets games look great in HD and I dont have to pay $20 bucks for parking. Enjoy the empty seats Mets!

I got my "Holiday" picture on 1/16/10 too Paul.

I just accepted it as typical Mets!
