Citi Field is not the only thing getting a positive makeover.

The Mets just sent out their "Fan Club For Kids" holiday offer and it looks better. The Kids Club was a good deal back at Shea Stadium. My oldest boys enjoyed it. Besides free tickets, they got to walk on the field and have a grand time sitting out in the bleachers...all for $25.

But last year, when the Mets announced the Citi Field version, tickets to the game were not included (see my post from last December for what was included). We didn't bother signing up and apparently, lots of other folks didn't.

In this year's version, almost all of the same stuff is being touted. But the first benefit listed in the e-mail was: "Two free tickets to a Mets home game at Citi Field in 2010."

Very cool, I thought. But of course, there is the Fine Print to consider. On the actual site, the offer is:

"A voucher redeemable for two tickets to a 2010 Mets home game at Citi Field*"

Hmm, what is that asterik for? Down at the bottom of the page, we find this:

"* - Details to be determined."

Presumably that means only specific games will have this offer, which is what they did at Shea. But with the Mets, you never know.

Glad they came to their senses and I hope they do a makeover for the 15 Game Plans as well. After a long talk with all people involved in my plan, a desicion has been made not to renew if the plans stay the same. The view from the promanade blows (compared to Loge) and we will NOT be forced again to take games we do not want.
