The report today is that
Derek Lowe is about to sign a four-year, $60 million deal with the Atlanta Braves.
I'm not too upset by the news. Lowe always seemed like a me-first kind of player, not the best fit for the Mets clubhouse. I'm glad Omar stuck to his guns and didn't stick on an extra year to a 35-year-old pitcher. Only Pedro deserved that kind of exception.
Now we just need to to sign a crazy, unpredictable left-hander who only thrives in big games against the Phillies, Braves and Yankees. But where do we find some like that?
