As Don Hahn Solo said, if you had told me before the game that Pedro would pitch 6 1/3 innings and give up just two earned runs, I would have penciled in a Win for us.
Meanwhile before last night's game, rookie Eddie Kunz was in Shea Stadium for the first
time. As part of his hazing, Kunz came out of the Mets dugout and
walked out to the bullpen wearing a giant pink Barbie backpack. Kunz was good natured about it, waving to the fans and even stopping to sign autographs.
I tried
to film the Kunz walk from Loge13. Sadly it didn't come out too clearly but here is the clip anyway. if nothing else, it's a nice sampling of the sights, the sounds, even the smells of a hot August night at Shea. There are only a handful of these nights left...
