My seven-year-old son is doing baseball camp this week. On Tuesday, a real live former major leaguer dropped by to visit the camp: Steve Balboni.

I wasn't there to witness this but I'm told Steve walked around chatting with the kids. When introduced, my kid said," I don't really like the Yankees. I'm a Mets fan."

Steve apparently laughed and congratulated my son for being honest.

Today Steve Balboni is returning to camp and my son is bringing a ball for him to autograph, so I think they're cool with each other.

I don't know where my son gets this stuff...
