Loge13 overlord Ron Hunt sent this photo in from his vast collection. This was the view from our section in the mid-1980's:

Obviously Keith wasn’t playing for the bunt or the batter and home plate umpire would also be in the frame.

Those of us in Loge13 all got our seats in the Keith era. And we probably all chose those seats so we had the best vantage to study Keith’s many on-field habits.

  • At the beginning of the game, Hernandez would come out and immediately wipe away the base line around first base.
  • During the Curley Shuffle, Keith would stop playing catch and watch the video on the DiamondVision.
  • If Keith had ended the previous inning with a bad at-bat, often he wouldn’t come out on the field for warm ups until the last possible moment. Or he’d come out and not warm up.

SNY just re-signed Keith to a new contract last week, which is good news. Thanks for the photo, Ron.
