Loge13 reader Bob Bobster has put together an amazing little audio archive site. Bob found some old cassette tapes he made of Mets games in 1970 and 1976. He transferred the highlights to digital and has posted them here.

For many Met fans, these are the voices we grew up with. If you watched a Met game on Monday Night Baseball or on any other broadcast that these guys weren’t a part of, then it didn’t feel like a Met game.
