LetsGetItOncoververysmallIt has been several days since I’ve posted. Truth be told, I’ve been quite unwell and unable to write.

Ever since someone sent me this link.

This is the MySpace page for Lucas Prata. Click on the 4th song in his playlist and you will hear why he is on Loge13.

He’s the guy who does that song: And We Say Lets Go Mets.

Lucas is a Queens native and the self-proclaimed “Bad Boy of Dance.” He has apparently had some hits. According to his bio, his song “And she said” was used on the Fox show “So you think you can dance.” That tune was then re-written last August to become the “official theme song” of the New York Mets.

There is no record of this tune being the Mets new official theme song, although Lucas did sing it at the Mets post-season rally last October.

David Brody of Z-100 wrote the lyrics; he is also the prodigy who rewrote “Who let the dogs out” to “Who let the Mets out” back in 2000

It seems Lucas and/or his music was also used in some films, including “Deuce Bigalo: American Gigolo.”

I tell you this only as a public service announcement. You have a right to know where this awful tune came from when you hear it blaring at Shea Stadium.
