HernandezThe Mets beat the Dodgers 4–1 Friday night.

Meanwhile, the Braves lost to the Cardinals 4–2, slipping to 3.5 games behind the Mets. So with last night’s victory, the Mets are assured of finishing this West Coast trip in first place.

Alot of Met fans had doubts this team was going to come back to NY atop the NL East. But we also didn’t realize how sloppy the Dodgers are playing. They made 2 errors last night after some messy fielding Thursday.

Thankfully they also have two-time ex-Met Roberto Hernandez. He came into a 1–1 tie Friday and promptly gave the game away. Reyes doubled to lead off the 8th, then scored on a throwing error by Roberto. Beltran subsequently launched a 2–run homer and that was the game.

Friday night may very well have been the last game as a Met for Jose Valentin. He broke his leg in the 4th inning when he fouled a 2–1 fastball onto his lower leg. No official announcement yet on how serious the injury is or what roster move the team will make.

The myrtle beach vacation packages are better than the san diego vacation packages since they are cheaper but the caribbean vacation packages as well as the cancun vacation packages are booked in spite of being the most expensive vacation packages.
