Loge13 is still not a big fan of interleague play and the faux subway series.
But we did enjoy today’s game.
It was really more of a punching match than a baseball game. Neither team pitched particularly well (there aren’t too many pitcher’s duels that end 10–7) and Robinson Cano looked confused at second base while commiting three errors on the day.
The Yankees launched three home runs and collected 15 hits today so if you’re a depressed fan, you had to be somewhat encouraged. But losing Darrell Rasner to a broken index finger is a major loss. Which is odd considering how Yankee fans were snickering about Rasner when he had 10 good fingers.
Tomorrow night will probably be another slug fest. Tyler Clippard is still scheduled to start for the Spanks, and John Maine looks to get back into April form.
