Who was complaining about the lack of playing time for Cliff Floyd…besides Cliff Floyd?
Oh yeah, Loge13 was yesterday. Silly us.
Sweet Lou listened to Cliff, and the old man went 3–5 in Tuesday night’s 10–1 drubbing.
Not much to say about this game except that the loss was a team effort. John Maine was OK, but not his superhuman self, and earned his first loss. Schoenweis gave up the big bomb, a grand slam to Aramis Ramirez to put the game away.
Meanwhile, Carlos Zambrano pitched a dominant game and even managed to plunk Delgado. There seemed to be some noise about the intentions of that pitch. We’ll see.
We’ll be out in Loge13 tonight to see if Jorge Sosa can keep up his great string of starts when he goes against lefty Rich Hill.
