A day after we praised Matsui’s play this season, the Rockies placed Kaz on the disabled list with a bum back.

 

Matsui played many injury-free years in Japan but became familiar with the DL while at Shea. Back ailments often landed him there, and are the culprit today.

Kaz is 5^th in the National League with  .361 average and 1^st in triples with 3.
